The USSEE has reserved a limited block of rooms at the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront Hotel for attendees of our 9th Biennial Conference. Attendees are responsible for booking their individual reservations directly with the Hotel’s reservations department at (651) 292-1900. To obtain the group rate of $149 per night, identify yourself as a participant of the USSEE Biennial Conference. Rooms must be booked by June 2, 2017. The hotel is located at 11 East Kellogg Boulevard, Saint Paul, MN 55101 and will also host our opening reception the evening of June 25th.
A shuttle will be available to transport guests staying in the Intercontinental Hotel to the Macalaster campus at 8 a.m. Monday through Wednesday, June 26-28. The shuttle will return to the hotel at 6 p.m. on Monday and at 8 p.m. Tuesday (after the dinner). The pickup and dropoff point will be on Macalaster Street in front of Weyerhauser Hall (see campus map link above). Conference attendees may also park their own cars in any Macalaster parking lot during the day. Uber and Lyft are both available in Saint Paul, and the #63 bus runs between the two locations approximately every 20 minutes.

On campus Housing
A limited number of rooms will be available on-campus in the Turck Hall Dormitory at Macalester College at a first-come first-serve basis. Attendees staying in the dorm rooms will be in Turck Hall. A reception desk in Turck Hall will be open from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, June 25 for you to collect your keys. If you arrive after this time, you may call 651-696-6373 to receive a key. Bedding, towels, and a box fan are provided, and there is an in-room sink. Showers are communal. There is no air conditioning in the dorms. Parking—conference attendees will be able to park in any of the Macalaster lots (please see campus map). Overnight parking for those staying in Turck Hall is available in the West 2 parking lot, or on the street.
