Residence Hall Rooms

American University has made residence hall rooms available to USSEE conference participants right on the AU campus and within close walking distance of the conference facilities.  Reservations for residence hall rooms is to be made during the conference registration process.

Bedding and towels are provided and included in the room rates. Check in is at 3:00 P.M. for the first day and check out is 12:00 P.M. on the last day.

Pricing is as follows:
Double room (you will have a roommate) - $60 per person
Double room with single occupancy (no roommate) - $125

There will be an additional cost, ninety-five ($95) dollars, for each key lost during the Event and/or not returned to the residence hall desk by the designated CHECK-OUT time and date. All charges for lost keys will be billed directly to the Conference. Keys cannot be mailed back to American University after Check-Out is complete.

There is a minimum twenty-five dollar ($25.00) charge for each room requiring excessive cleaning upon the departure of guests. Excessive cleaning is defined as removal of more than one receptacle of trash from a room, rooms requiring carpet cleaning, and rooms requiring excessive realignment of furnishings. The Conference has the right to inspect all rooms for which additional charges are anticipated.

The University will provide housing accommodations with the following items (per person): 1 towels, 2 sheets, 1 blanket, 1 pillow, and 1 pillow case. Telephone lines, trashcans, and desk lamps are not provided in rooms
