Founded in 1906 by the Pace brothers as a business school for men and women who aspired to a better life, Pace Institute began
its transformation into a modern university, with emphasis on the liberal arts and sciences, under Robert Pace 42 years later. Pace has grown into one of the largest universities in New York State, with a multi-million dollar physical plant, an endowment of over $100 million and a reputation for excellent teaching and talented, ambitious graduates. It has three campuses and a law school. The conference venue is Pace’s downtown New York City campus. Located off Park Row across from City Hall, this is an area rich in history. Here you’ll find yourself on New York’s oldest streets, near such famous places as Chinatown, the Battery at the southern tip of Manhattan, South Street Seaport, the World Trade Center, and much more.
The conference main venue will be at 1 Pace Plaza. There will be one special evening session at the New York Academy of Sciences, in its new home at 7 World Trade Center.
Plans for the opening reception are under way. Stay tuned!

New York, NY is located centrally to the states of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, the so-called “Tri-State Area.” Over 20 million people reside within commuting distance of New York, including on Long Island. The City wouldn’t be what it is today without having New York Harbor, today a major shipping port. New York State’s major estuary, the Hudson River, flows from its headwaters in the Adirondack Mountains to its terminus at Manhattan.
