RESEARCH ASSISTANT POSITION

Job description
- Work with senior researcher (Allen Blackman) on microeconomic analysis of environmental, natural resource, and climate change issues in Latin America and the Caribbean
- Position begins spring-early summer 2024
- One-year term with possibility of extension for a second year
- Full-time (~40 hours per week)
- Location: Inter-American Development Bank headquarters, Washington, DC
Criteria
- Required
- Master’s degree in environmental economics or related field
- Significant coursework and experience in econometrics
- Significant experience with Stata
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Availability to start spring-early summer 2024
- Citizen of one of IADB’s 48 member countries
- No family members currently working at IADB or IDBInvest
- Helpful
- Experience working as a Research Assistant
- Portuguese language skills
- Experience with R, Python, ArcGIS, and QGIS
