Summary
This position is located on the State’s Programs Team, in the State Office of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.
The incumbent provides advice and assistance on economic issues associated with conservation programs administered by the Staff.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Must have a bachelor’s degree (or higher degree) in economics that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Must have a combination of education and experience which includes courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
$49,025 – $100,000 per year.

While these are entry level positions are promotion ready to a GS-11, often states will adjust the position to the typical GS-12 state economist staff level. Once you get your foot into a Federal position, higher grade positions become available.
