Position Overview:
IEG is seeking a skilled GIS/Data Analyst with a background in land cover characterization, environmental assessments, and statistical analysis. A strong interest in and experience with natural capital accounting will enhance a candidate’s qualifications for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, compile, integrate, and digitize map data related to boundaries of areas, land cover types, and other environmental information.
• Manage and organize GIS data for natural capital accounting projects.
• Develop GIS tools and visuals to summarize research findings.
• Conduct research and analysis for various projects.
• Assist in the creation of Excel models, combining GIS data with other data types.
  
  Qualifications:
• Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or in environmental sciences, economics, or a related field combined with 3 years’ experience in the use of GIS.
• Proficiency in statistical modeling and quantitative analysis.
• Strong research aptitude.
• Strong proficiency with Excel and spreadsheet analysis.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
