The doctoral program “Dimensions of Justice in Sustainable Transformation Processes in Rural Areas” uses a comparative approach to examine fundamental questions about aspects of justice in sustainability-oriented transformation processes, particularly in rural areas. The doctoral college is guided by the overarching question of how just transformation processes can be successfully designed and managed. It works inter- and transdisciplinary and methodologically pluralistic and has a network of (inter-) national partner institutions (including Leuphana University Lüneburg, Leibniz Center for Agricultural Landscape Research, Basque Center for Climate Change, Lund University, Copernicus Institute/Utrecht University, University of Vermont).
