Assistant Professor Natural Resources
UW-Madison is seeking to hire an assistant professor focused on the sustainability of natural resources; apply at http://tiny.cc/FWE2024. The deadline is technically Friday, 11/08, but the search committee will consider applications on a rolling basis.
Although the position description sounds like we are looking for an ecologist, in fact we are conducting a broad search across any relevant field, including environmental and resource economics. I would encourage any economist with interests in sustainable resource management to apply!
This position is housed in the department of forest and wildlife ecology, which is an inter-disciplinary department that includes ecologists, data scientists, an economist, GIS/remote sensing experts, etc. It is a wonderful community for scholars interested in inter-disciplinary work focused on natural resources.
If you have questions, please reach out to the search committee chair, Tim van Deelen trvandeelen@wisc.edu.
