PhD position at Virginia Tech
New PhD student opportunity for Fall 2025 in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at Virginia Tech. The student will work on issues in profitability and long-term sustainability of technology adoption, crop diversification, and conservation practice adoption in specialty and field crops. The role includes translating research into practical Extension outcomes, offering timely and relevant insights to farmers and stakeholders. This position also offers an opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration with researchers in agronomy, horticulture, soil science, and related fields. Prior experience in R, Stata, and ArcGIS is encouraged, as the role involves working with diverse datasets, including surveys, secondary data, and geospatial data.
