The University of Oregon Department of Economics invites applications for the Raymond F. Mikesell Chair in Environmental and Resource Economics to begin Fall 2024. This position will carry tenure and candidates will be considered for appointment at either the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. in economics or a closely related discipline and an established record of outstanding research that includes a significant number of publications in high quality scholarly journals in the field of environmental and natural resource economics. The successful candidate will also have an established record of, or otherwise demonstrate skills required for, excellence in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate level economics courses, with a preference for candidates who demonstrate potential for high quality mentorship of graduate and undergraduate research.

15th Annual Meeting of the Society for Environmental Law and Economics

The fifteenth annual meeting of the Society for Environmental Law and Economics will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 22 & 23, 2024, hosted by the Florida State University College of Law in Tallahassee, Florida. We hope to build upon the great success of past meetings, and continue to build a community of environmental scholars interested in working in the intersection of law, economics, social science and environmental or natural resource issues. We welcome both theoretical and empirical papers, as well as studies looking at problems at local, state, national, and international levels. Our goal is to create a program that includes a variety of disciplinary perspectives.
