Postdoc Economics of conservation/development
The Department of Forest Ecosystems and Society (FES) in the College of Forestry at Oregon State University is seeking a recent Ph.D. graduate for a postdoctoral scholar position, starting as early as May/June. The successful candidate will conduct within- and cross-country comparisons of quantitative impact estimates of changes in land use/cover, welfare, and causal mechanisms resulting from land management or development policies/programs that provide land use rights information or livelihood resources. The project spans multiple countries including Brazil, Liberia, and Ghana as well as the U.S. to further our understanding of the changes in resource use behaviors, land use/cover, and local welfare and establish better policy implications.
