Nonmarket Valuation Post-Doctoral Research Associate
NATURE OF POSITION: To conduct nonmarket valuation of Indiana wildlife species using survey methods. This is a full-time position.
DATE AVAILABLE: The planned start date is June 1, 2024. The appointment is for a period of 18 months.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES: The successful candidate will join a team supervised by Prof. Carson Reeling on a project in partnership with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. The appointed Post-Doctoral Research Associate will lead the development and administration of surveys, derive appropriate theoretical and empirical approaches for analyzing survey data, and assist in preparing journal publications. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to analyze existing data from recently-administered surveys and lead the development of research outputs (including peer-reviewed journal publications and extension articles) from this data.
This postdoc will be housed in the Department of Agricultural Economics and join its vibrant research community. There will be opportunities to collaborate with faculty and staff in the department and its affiliated research centers.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful applicant will hold a Ph.D. in Agricultural/Resource/Applied Economics, Economics, or a related field. Prior experience in estimating nonmarket values and administering mail and/or online surveys is highly desired.
SALARY: Commensurate with training and experience.
