Call for Papers: Climate Economics Pipeline Workshop
The Harvard Environmental Economics Program and the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University will host a Climate Economics Pipeline Workshop on Monday June 17 at the Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, MA. This one-day workshop will focus on presentations by young economics scholars conducting research on climate change and climate change policy.
We invite doctoral students in economics, agricultural and resource economics, public policy, and other applied economics doctoral programs to submit a paper for consideration for possible presentation at the workshop. We strongly encourage applications from women, members of groups that have been under-represented in the economics profession, individuals with disabilities, and veterans. We are open to economic research in any field applied to a question related to climate change.
To submit a paper for consideration at the workshop, please complete this brief online application form. The submission deadline is April 15, 2024 and authors of selected papers will be contacted by May 10. The Weatherhead Center will cover lodging and travel expenses for workshop presenters.
We are grateful for the financial support from the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University, which is funding a series of climate pipeline workshops in economics, political science, and sociology with the goal of attracting more young scholars in these disciplines to address research questions related to climate change.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the workshop co-organizers, Joe Aldy (joseph_aldy@hks.harvard.edu) and Rob Stavins (robert_stavins@hks.harvard.edu).
