Inland Flooding Postdoc
The Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at Colorado State University seeks a Post-Doctoral candidate for a project related to the impacts of inland flooding, funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The Post-Doc will work in collaboration with Jude Bayham, Chris Goemans, Dale Manning, and Jordan Suter to analyze responses to flood risk, information about flood events, and evacuation orders using mobile device location data. The research seeks to quantify impacts on short-run and longer-run economic activity and will include the compilation and analysis of datasets related to the timing, location, and intensity of flood events.
Required qualifications: PhD degree completed by start date, effective written communication, experience using R, Python or similar programming languages.
Preferred qualifications: strong data management skills, experience using spatial data, experience modeling natural disaster impacts.
