The Climate Change Bureau leads the Environment Department’s climate change initiatives, including the Advanced Clean Cars and Advanced Clean Trucks regulations Gov. Lujan Grisham recently announced. The bureau works across state government and with numerous organizations and individuals to coordinate policies and actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 45% below 2005 levels by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2050 in accordance with Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s Executive Order 2019-003. These reductions will put New Mexicans to work in clean jobs and improve the air we breathe.

The Climate Change Bureau is currently hiring for these positions: 

  • Climate Change Bureau Economist (NMED Position # 10114801; Job ID 135357)
  • Permitting Section Manager (NMED Position #10112051; Job ID 135311)
