The University of Oregon Department of Economics invites applications for the Raymond F. Mikesell Chair in Environmental and Resource Economics to begin Fall 2024. This position will carry tenure and candidates will be considered for appointment at either the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. in economics or a closely related discipline and an established record of outstanding research that includes a significant number of publications in high quality scholarly journals in the field of environmental and natural resource economics. The successful candidate will also have an established record of, or otherwise demonstrate skills required for, excellence in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate level economics courses, with a preference for candidates who demonstrate potential for high quality mentorship of graduate and undergraduate research.

Candidates should submit 1) a cover letter, 2) a CV, 3) a statement detailing the candidate’s teaching-related experience and/or philosophy, 4) a statement of contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
