Fisheries Economist
The Pacific Fishery Management Council manages fisheries in Federal waters off the U.S. west coast. Council staff play a key role in advising the Council on policies that impact hundreds of fish stocks within the Pacific ocean, thousands of square miles of fish habitat, and the economic, social, and cultural well-being of thousands of people.
The Council’s fisheries economist will work closely with other staff and Council committees to develop analysis and advice in support of Council decision making. He/she/they will report to the Deputy Director.
The starting salary range for this position is $65,360 to $100,708 based on education and experience. Significant opportunities for advancement exist for this position.
